A double serving of Baron’s 10% TIPA is all that’s needed to grease the wheels; as Chris and Paul discuss recent trips to Nottingham and Amsterdam, and the channel’s debut live stream. In Steve Power’s The Doom Bar, they discuss the Carlsberg-Mikkeller deal and North Brew’s recent upheaval. This is all punctuated with tales of drunken scooter trips and fledgling careers in porn.

We lube the wheels with a Verdant x Floc DIPA and a 13% Barley Wine from Chapter Brewing.

Don’t be fooled by the teaser.. This week, we do have our most serious beer talk yet. In part one, some unfinished fantasy beer name business is concluded, Chris reveals how close we came to missing an episode and our next brewery trip is revealed. Then in part two, we have a bumper edition of the Misery Corner (aka Steve Power’s Doom Bar) where Paul gives us the inside story on his recently closed bottle shop & the trials and tribulations faced in the beer retail industry. Expect some serious insights with moderate levity.

Chris and Paul are drunk, as they reap the consequences of recording podcast episodes in a bar. On the agenda this week is their recent trip to Crossover Blendery in Hitchen. And Paul discusses his birthday trip to Sheffield with its vibrant beer scene. We feature beers from New Invention & a whopping 15.1% from Wander Beyond.

In this loose-lipped, mildly erratic episode, we have the big Baron debrief featuring some exclusive content which didn't make the recent edits. Shot on location at the Hop Vault in Stourbridge, Chris and Paul have an in-depth discussion about their relatively surreal trip to Baron. Before moving on to talk about their first invite only beer launch with Attic Brew Co. in Birmingham, and why they’re not corporate shills.

We kick off episode two with some wild, unfounded speculation about a certain brewery’s taproom. We discuss the latest lager tasting video, the unfortunate demise of a famous American brewery and we ponder choice and innovation in craft beer. All of this over beers from Polly’s and Overtone. 

The lads finally try their hand at the podcast game. In the first episode, Christian and Paul discuss a local beer festival, a trip to Liverpool, burning pubs and the recent alcohol duty reform in the UK and its implications for the craft beer scene. All of this over a some cheap German supermarket lager and a brand new Wylam DIPA.
